I’m still trying to recupperate from last nights concert featuring ’70s and ’80s rockers Survivor and Loverboy.
Survivor brought down the house early, starting their performance a little after 7 p.m. Of course they played their mage-hit song “Eye of the Tiger,” written at the request of Sylvester Stallone for the film “Rocky III.”
The Crowd went CRAZY! I think I must have seen about 10 guys shadow boxing during that song. It was a great show though.

When Loverboy took the stage though, you knew you were about to see a performance from seasoned vets of rock. I think Loverboy used to sell out arenas, and the lead singer really brought down the house with his still excellent voice. Though a little older and probably a little wider, they still drove the ladies wild with their leather pants, sequined shirts and chest hair. That’s probably how they came up with their band name! It was like every middle-aged woman there was back in her high school prime swinging, dancing, laughing and shouting lyrics at the aging rockers. It was awesome!

Now to head out and see how the last day of the event will end and which vehicle will take the best of the show.
