Word from the Bird goes multi-media

Hey, I was on the AZ3Sixty Magazine internet radio show the other day — I feel so high-tech! Check it out as I convince them there is more to Our Fair City than just gas stations and McDonald’s — and why it’s not a good idea to try to ride a bighorn sheep!

It’s too bad we didn’t talk more on the art of bighorn sheep riding. I’m not sure what my issue is when I see a 4-legged animal large enough to carry my weight. I wouldn’t call it a fantasy, maybe a strange obsession for a quick adrenaline rush. It may have started in the days of the movie, “Swiss Family Robinson.” They were riding all types of animals in their carnival-day celebration. So why not ride a bighorn sheep, ostrich, bull, rhino, etc? I’m pretty sure I’ll never ride most of the animals that cross my path. Although, I can assure you that a trip to zoo sends my mind racing. Heck, I’ll even swing through the trees on the back of a monkey if volunteers were needed. Maybe I need to stick to a much safer activity — like publishing a magazine. By the way, Ann, you were great on the radio show. Yuma really does sound fun. And I promise not to mention the “M” word again when discussing Yuma attractions. The “M” word is McDonalds for those wondering.
